The story I was told is that during the 70's back stage, possibly in europe, " Big Steve" the stage manager of the Greatful Dead was asked " Who's in charge here" and the words that escaped his mouth where " I don't know man, the situation is boss".
These words found meaning to my reality when my parents I was living with divorced, my dog ran away and passed away, and finally my sister and husband divorced all within a span of 3 months. All independently out of my control, regardless of the emotional impact. I feel, if i was a country musician that I would have hit gold in this moment.
Regardless, in that experience, the situation was boss in that moment....
